Terme Art is a traditional Iranian art that uses colored threads to stitch different patterns. This art has been widely practiced in Iran and some regions such as Central Asia, Azerbaijan and Afghanistan since ancient times. Terme Art can be done by hand or machine. In the hand method, colored threads are stitched onto a decorative fabric with a needle, creating beautiful and colorful patterns. The machine method uses a device called Terme-doz, which works like a regular sewing machine, but instead of regular thread, colored threads are used. Terme Art is known as a decorative and aesthetic art and is used to decorate clothes, fabrics, containers and other objects. This art continues to this day in many regions of Iran and around the world and is recognized as one of Iran’s cultural heritage.
