Turquoise carving in HANDIRAN handicrafts is done in this way by placing small pieces of turquoise stone in a mosaic form on the surface of dishes, ornaments and decorative objects (made from bases made of copper, brass, silver or bronze). A kind of dark varnish is placed between the turquoise pieces. The more productive and regular the beaten turquoise vessel is, and the smaller the distance between the turquoise pieces, the greater its artistic value. Today, the center of this art is Isfahan.[1]

This art was done about 60 or 70 years ago in Mashhad (Razavi Khorasan) by Haji Baba (M) and brought to Isfahan.
