Explanation:
Hatem embroidery (Hatem-kâri), which is a part of Iran’s decorative art, is made of walnut, ebony, jujube, bitter orange, etc. It is the process of carving carving materials such as wooden surfaces, ivory and bone, and placing cut pieces of geometric or mosaic-like colored polygons and metal wires such as brass, aluminum and silver.
For Hatem Processing, which is the meeting of wood with metal, first the arrangement of the slots to be opened on the surface is determined and in the second step, the necessary raw materials are prepared according to the design and usage. Then, geometric patterned pieces are cut and placed into the opened slots after pressing. In the next stage, decorations are created by inserting gold, silver and brass wires into the channels opened around the motifs drawn on the wood. In the final stage, the entire surface is smoothed with fine files and sandpaper and subjected to a special polishing process.
Our product is made of natural wood with specially designed miniature embroidery, and due to its nature, there may be pattern differences in each product.
